Raging Bull rallies to win Hollywood Derby at Del Mar

DEL MAR — Joel Rosario put Southern California horsemen on notice Saturday what they’ll have to deal with come the end of the month when he brings his tack back home.

Rosario, aboard 9-5 favorite Raging Bull, staged a powerful rally at Del Mar in the $300,000 Grade I Hollywood Derby, closing from 11th in the 13-horse field to beat River Boyne by a half length.

Raging Bull, a Dark Angl colt trained by Chad Brown, ran the 1 1/8 miles on turf in a race restricted to 3-year-olds in 1:48.34.
