Another horse dies at Santa Anita during Thursday morning training

The Santa Anita horse fatality nightmare continued Thursday morning when a horse died during the second day of training since Santa Anita allowed horses to return to the main track. It’s the 22nd death since Dec. 26.

Princess Lili B, owned and trained by David Bernstein, was injured near the end of a half-mile workout, breaking both front legs, and had to be euthanized.

The latest casualty was first reported by Brad Free of the Daily Racing Form.
