Angels blasted by Padres in first night game of the spring

THE GAME: The Angels lost 9-3 to the San Diego Padres on Wednesday at Tempe Diablo Stadium, in their first night game of the spring. The Angels are 10-9-2 this spring.

PITCHING REPORT: Right-hander Felix Peña gave up two runs in 2-2/3 innings, on 65 pitches. Peña whipped through the top of the Padres order in the first inning, but he allowed three hits, walked two and hit one in the second inning.
