Jet skier pulled out of water near Long Beach dies at hospital

LONG BEACH — A 20-year-old man pulled out of the water after he went missing while riding a Yamaha jet ski off the coast of Long Beach later died at a hospital, authorities said Monday.

The man identified as Jean Carlos Cheryl was found at 7:50 p.m. Sunday and taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, the U.S. Coast Guard said.

The search for Cheryl began about 10:30 a.m. when a friend reported him missing to the U.S. Coast Guard. Cheryl was last seen in Long Beach about 9:40 a.m. and was expected in Catalina Island later in the [READ MORE HERE]
