Long Beach State tops Cal Poly in OT to end 6-game losing streak

SAN LUIS OBISPO — It’s not often Long Beach State’s Deishuan Booker is held scoreless for a half.

The senior guard was scoreless at halftime of Saturday night’s game at Cal Poly, but he scored 23 points the rest of the way, including a key 3-pointer in overtime, to help the 49ers beat the Mustangs 76-69 and snap a six-game losing skid.

The 49ers outscored Cal Poly 14-6 in the extra period. Booker’s 3-pointer gave Long Beach a four-point lead with about a minute left, and he went 8 for 8 from the free-throw line in the overtime period. Booker made 18 straight [READ MORE HERE]
