South bonds fast, sprints past North again in Orange County All-Star Classic

COSTA MESA A sudden coaching change 10 days before the game. Only four practices. Neither could deter the South in the 60th Orange County All-Star Classic on Saturday night.

The South was simply too fast and too united on both sides of the ball under new coach Sean Embree of Santa Margarita.

Quarterback James Mott of St. Margaret’s tossed first-half touchdowns to Arick McLawyer of Huntington Beach and Jaydel Jenkins of San Clemente and linebacker-turned-defensive end Victor Clanton of JSerra recorded 4 1/2 sacks as the South defeated the North 16-7 in front of an estimated 4,000 at Orange Coast College.
