El Dorado girls basketball player Kenedy Lilly scores 57 points, just misses county record

Kenedy Lilly produced another offensive explosion Thursday.

El Dorado’s 6-foot-5 center broke her own school record by scoring 57 points in a 72-35 victory against California at the Covina Classic.

Last season, the UC Davis-bound senior set the school single-game record with 50 points against El Monte at the Covina tournament.

The Orange County record for most points in a game is 61 by Tracy Titus of Loara in the 1990-91 season.

Lilly’s effort on Thursday helped El Dorado reach the consolation final of the tournament.

She is averaging 30.1 points in eight games.
