Orange County new home prices jump 21% in year to $1.08 million median

Homebuying in Orange County in October decreased as new home prices rose by 21 percent to $1.078 million, according to CoreLogic.

For the month, countywide sales of all residences totaled 2,890 — down 7 percent in a year compared with the six-county region where sales fell 7.5 percent. The countywide median selling price was $720,000 — up 3.9 percent in 12 months vs. Southern California pricing rising 6.1 percent.
