Mudslide closes PCH in Malibu, residents urged to shelter in place

According to the city of Malibu, a mudslide Thursday morning has prompted closure of Pacific Coast Highway near Leo Carrillo State Beach. Also, Bonsall Drive is closed at Rainsford Place.

Flash flooding and limited debris flows are expected in the Malibu burn area, and a warning has been issued in areas including Malibu Canyon, Las Virgenes and Kanan Dume roads, and PCH at the western end of Malibu.

Residents living in or immediately downstream should shelter in place and move to a second story or the highest location in your home to stay out of the path of fast-moving water and debris [READ MORE HERE]
