More rain, snow prompts weather advisories across Southland

More rain and snow are hitting the Southland, prompting National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for southern and central Los Angeles counties early Thursday morning.

The organization tweeted out radar images around 4:30 a.m. of a large band of showers moving over the region.

The warning was first set to expire at 6 a.m., but NWS officials extended it for another hour.

Flood Advisory has been issued for southern and central Los Angeles County and it will be in effect until 6:00am! TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN! #SoCal #CAwx #LARain
