Suspect in attempted Laguna Niguel kidnapping arrested; additional victims sought

Authorities asked for the public’s help on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in identifying potential additional victims of a man who was arrested after allegedly making threats at knifepoint in Aliso Viejo. He is also suspected of attempting to kidnap a deaf woman in Laguna Niguel.

Deputies took Paul Emilliano, 39, of Aliso Viejo, into custody on Monday, Dec. 3, on suspicion of brandishing a knife and making threats at two residents of a home on Abbeywood Lane that evening, according to a release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
