Smoke from Woolsey fire, Hill fire prompts air quality warnings in LA County

Air quality could reach unhealthy levels or even higher, the South Coast Air Quality Management District warned Friday, as the Woolsey fire and the Hill fire continued to burn in LA and Ventura counties.

The areas impacted include western San Fernando Valley, Northwest Coastal Los Angeles County and other areas directly impacted by smoke, according to a news release from SCAQMD .

With strong northeast winds expected to continue into Friday evening, the district has issued advisories for wildfire smoke and windblown dust and ash. People in areas impacted by smoke or ash should stay indoors with windows and doors closed to limit [READ MORE HERE]
