Police audio from the Thousand Oaks mass shooting

Thirteen people are dead after a gunman, identified as Ian David Long, opened fire Wednesday night on a crowd at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks.

Long entered the bar at around 11:20 p.m. and appeared to shoot at random, according to Ventura County sheriff’s deputies. The dead included 11 people inside the bar, the gunman and a sheriff’s sergeant who was the first officer inside the door, Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean said.

After deputies were dispatched to the Thousand Oaks location, one officer told dispatch he was making entry with CHP assistance. He then described a “subject dressed in all black” [READ MORE HERE]
