Chargers cut kicker Caleb Sturgis, turn to rookie Michael Badgley

Less than a week after handing him back his job as kicker, the Chargers cut ties with Caleb Sturgis on Monday, following a nightmarish kicking performance that nearly cost them a crucial win on the road in Seattle.

Rookie kicker Michael Badgley, who didn’t miss a single kick during Sturgis’ two-week absence due to injury, was signed from the practice squad to replace him.
