UFC 229: Yana Kunitskaya decisions Lina Lansberg for 1st UFC win

By Brian Martin

LAS VEGAS — Yana Kunitskaya made her bantamweight debut and picked up her first UFC win with a unanimous decision over Lina Lansberg at UFC 229 on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena.

All three judges scored it 30-27 for the Russian native.

The common thread between the two was both having made their unfortunate UFC debuts against featherweight champion Cris Cyborg – Lansberg via second-round TKO in 2016, Kunitskaya via first-round TKO in March.

Kunitskaya improved to 11-4 with one no contest. Lansberg (8-4) is now 2-3 in the UFC.
