La Habra police seek help finding missing elderly woman

Police are searching for an elderly woman who went missing in La Habra on Saturday afternoon.

Mary Ann Newkirk, 84, was last seen wearing white and silver, polka-dot shirt with white pants. Police said she was possibly headed to a Ross retail store on West Imperial Highway in La Habra. She was not located there when officers checked the store.

Newkirk, who has dementia and is in need of medications, went missing at around 1 p.m. Saturday. She lives in the 2200 block of West Canterbury Lane.

Police released a photo of Newkirk as they ask for the public’s help in locating her.
