Tesoro swimmer Michael Brinegar qualifies for Pan Pacific Championships in open water

Tesoro and Mission Viejo Nadadores swimmer Michael Brinegar qualified for this summer’s Pan Pacific Championships in the open water 10K by finishing eighth overall – first among Americans – at the recent French Open Water Swimming Championships in Gravelines, France.

The Indiana-bound senior finished the 10K race in 1 hour, 44 minutes and 30.00 seconds.

The race, part of the LEN European Open Water Cup, attracted some of the top open water swimmers in the world, including reigning gold medalist Ferry Weertman of Netherlands.
