Rhonda Faehn asked to resign as USA Gymnastics senior vice president

Rhonda Faehn, USA Gymnastics senior vice president for the women’s program and a key figure in the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal, has been asked to resign by USA Gymnastics chief executive Kerry Perry, the Orange County Register has learned.

Faehn is believed to be the first USA Gymnastics official to learn of allegations that Nassar had sexually abused U.S. national team members, a club coach first approaching her with concerns about Nassar in June 2015, 16 months before Nassar’s abuse first became public.
