Attorney for David Turpin of Perris torture case seeks dismissal of perjury charges

The attorney for Perris torture defendant David Turpin will ask a judge Friday, May 18, to dismiss the eight counts of perjury filed against his client this month, or refile them separately from the previous charges.

The felony charges are related to the documents Turpin submitted to the state Department of Education to register the homeschool where some of the family’s 13 children were supposed to be educated.
