Galaxy defender Rolf Feltscher sidelined following shoulder surgery

By Damian Calhoun

The Galaxy will be without Venezuelan defender Rolf Feltscher for up to four months after he underwent pectoralis surgery for major tendon repair in his right shoulder.

Surgery was done at the Kerlan-Jobe Institute at Cedars-Sinai in Santa Monica.

Feltscher, 27, posted on his Instagram that “everything went well.”

Feltscher, who joined the Galaxy this season after a career in Germany, Italy and Spain, suffered the injury during training last week and missed Saturday’s game against the New York Red Bulls. David Romney replaced him in the starting lineup.

The Galaxy returns to action Saturday on the road against the Houston Dynamo.
