LOS ANGELES — Four months and a coaching change ago, UCLA retreated into the offseason with a sour last impression. The Bruins were held scoreless in the second half of the Cactus Bowl and gave up 344 rushing yards to Kansas State.
It was just another disappointing moment in a three-year run full of shortcomings in which home attendance fell from an all-time high to its lowest since 1999.
On Saturday, the Bruins hope to give fans a taste of why they should stick with the program as it heads into a new era under Chip Kelly.
