HUNTINGTON BEACH – For three quarters of the Sunset League boys basketball matchup between Newport Harbor and Edison on Friday, the Chargers were in total control.

Edison had a 20-point lead late in the third quarter when the Sailors made a run and turned the contest into a two-possession game with plenty of time left in the fourth quarter.

The Chargers ran time off the clock and made critical free throws in the final minutes to come away with a 59-48 victory at Edison High.
