Placentia police seek man who attacked boy walking home from school

PLACENTIA — Authorities were looking for a man who attacked a third-grade boy as he was walking home from school Thursday in Placentia.

The boy was walking from Sierra Vista Elementary School when the man approached him around 2:30 p.m., according to Placentia police Sgt. Chris Anderson. An exact location of the attack was not provided.

The boy told police he felt as though his personal space was being violated so he punched and kicked the suspect as he tried to get away. The boy said the man grabbed one of his wrists and scratched his forearm, according to Anderson.
