Sun City man arrested after Laguna Beach police find antique saxophone, a safe full of money and artwork

LAGUNA BEACH –A 54-year-old Sun City man suspected of stealing an antique saxophone, a bronze statue and a safe full of thousands of dollars in a series of burglaries across the city was arrested at gun point, police said Monday.

The burglaries were reported at Mozambique, Tortilla Republic and an architecture business in the city’s downtown between July 1 and July 16.

The man, identified as Reed Swingley, was stopped by Laguna Beach police at 5 p.m. Sunday on South Coast Highway and Cleo Street after patrol officers recognized Swingley’s vehicle and license plate from surveillance footage taken at one of the [READ MORE HERE]
