Response to: Yahoo Answers Once Again Censors Posts

In response to a letter sent from our attorney’s office to Yahoo! Answers legal department regarding their censoring of a post (original article found HERE ), find below their response.  Note that they say they would have reinstated my post had I simply gone through the “appeal process”.  I’ve been through their appeal process in another post that was MUCH less controversial than this one might have been, and they simply ignored me.  I do hate to think that anyone wanting to exercise free speech in a polite manner would have to have an attorney send a letter to their legal department, but it seems that might be what it takes.

Answers post and your request to have it reinstated. I’m very sorry for any inconvenience caused and am happy to address the post, why it was removed, and provide details around the Yahoo! Answers appeal process.
First and foremost, I have returned your post on the Yahoo! Answers thread at the following URL:
We reviewed your Yahoo! Answers post and found that your content was not in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines or Yahoo! Terms of Service.The post was originally taken down as a result of several Yahoo! Answers Community members reporting the post within a small window of time. That Community is specific to the Yahoo! Answers property. After speaking with our Senior Yahoo! Answers Abuse Customer Care agent, I was informed that, had you proceeded with the Yahoo! Answers appeal process available in the email you received from Yahoo!, your post would have been reinstated.

Additionally, I have restored the 10 points you were originally deducted and added another 10 points on your Yahoo! Answers profile.
